Although strong winds were at play, around 130 people made their way to the Langebaan Animal Care (LAC) Grapevine Stroll at the Langebaan Country Estate.

The purpose of the event was to raise funds for LAC, which are required to respond to the daily needs of the animals.

According to John Mitchell, organiser of the Grapevine Stroll, overall, the turnout was disappointing due to the extreme winds, which made it a little unpleasant for a stroll. “Those who attended the 4 km stroll found the event very enjoyable, and they enjoyed the experience of tasting different types of wines, beer and gin on the route. Children also enjoyed the soft drinks.

LAC is grateful for every cent raised, which helps towards the huge costs they have running the facility.

The shelter would like to thank everyone who supported the day. “Thank you to all our sponsors and contributors and volunteers who helped before and on the day itself.”
