Genesis Hub visits Elsenburg food processing unit

The Green Engine team from the Genesis Hub went on a two-day tour to Elsenburg on Tuesday 8 February. Elsenburg is an agricultural training institute based in Stellenbosch where fresh vegetables are being processed and turned into flavourful spices, pickled vegetables and fruits, mouth-watering sauces, juices and more. The youth went on the trip to learn more about how to process vegetables and to see first-hand how things are being done through exposure to different methods and resources. Siphesihle Gift Bushu, one of the youth that went on the trip, said it was informative and eye-opening. “I actually believe that experiences like that can bring positive change to our communities and the country at large,” she added.
