Velddrif Cricket Club NPO ended its year on a high note in December when it held the Festival of Cricket 6’s Tournament 2023.
The event took place at the Smit Sport Grounds, Velddrif on Saturday 16 December.
It was the third edition of the tournament with eight teams participating.
The champions of the day was The Views Guesthouse Young Guns team from Piketberg with Old Balls Tallawahs as the runners up.
Most Valuable Player award went to Ernwil Afrika of Views Guesthouse Young Guns. Afrika was also named the most valuable batsman. The top bowler was Jaydon van der Westhuizen from the Views Guesthouse Young Guns team.
Aside from the action on the field there were exciting activities involving the spectators.
