Speaker Peter Harper, during his presentation, shows how much the use of drones increased during Covid-19.

The Genesis Hub in Louwville hosted a Drone Academy exhibition, which many companies attended, on Tuesday 12 July.

Its purpose was for interested parties to have a look at the assistance drones can provide to different industries and how effective they can be.

The Drone Academy showcased different types of drones one can use for different purposes.

For Earther Petersen of the Genesis Hub the most interesting part of the day was when future drone pilots had exhibitions covering different areas – Precision Agriculture, Maritime, Survey and Structural Inspection, Filmmaking and Surveillance.

Guests speakers included Peter Harper and Dr George Sithole.

“It was a proud moment for the Genesis Hub to see how well equipped we future young aviation leaders are for the industry, and how we were able to answer questions from our guests with confidence,” Petersen said.

The exhibition ended with a virtual reality tour of the Genesis Hub and Cape Town.
