During the month of May, 15 of the drone academy learners from the Genesis Hub went to the Cape Town Flight Training Centre to write their Radiotelephony examination. The team amazed everyone with a pass rate of more than 90%.

The Radiotelephony exams enable future drone pilots to communicate via two-way radios in codes. Two of the learners, Melissa Booysen and Sinazo Msindwana, both achieved 100%.

Booysen said throughout this journey she has learnt one has to stay focused and keep working hard. “Keep a positive mind and manifest what you want in your life into existence,” she said. “Seeing that everyone told us how difficult Radiotelephony is I said I am going to get 100%. I manifested that into existence.”

Msindwana said she gave herself enough time to prepare for the exam and believed she would make it. “It’s all about dedication and commitment,” she added.
