Curro Langebaan took part in the Curro 2 Curro Challenge. This was a 4 week challenge and a first of its kind. It started on Monday 3 May and ended on Friday 28 May. The reason behind the challenge was to keep learners and staff active. The aim was to accumulate enough virtual kilometers to get from Curro Bloemfontein to Curro Langebaan. Each school’s aim was to get as many teams to partake. The goal was to get 22 teams per school. Curro Langebaan had 192 participants which made 48 teams. Each week the team had to collectively run, walk, cycle or swim 100 km. They had to submit a logbook and proof (photos) that they completed the distances by using a fitbit/strava or step counter. Curro Langebaan was crowned the Curro 2 Curro Champions, having completed 12 315 km. The top-10 schools that accumulated the most are: Curro Langebaan Independent School: 12 315 km. Curro Hazeldean Independent School: 6 846 km. Curro Klerksdorp Independent School: 5 245 km. Waterstone College Independent School: 5 086 km. Curro Mossel Bay Independent School: 5 075 km. Curro New Road: 4 852 km. Curro Aurora Independent School: 4 822 km. Curro Serengeti Independent School: 4 726 km. Curro Kathu Independent School: 4 374 km and Curro Krugersdorp Independent
