Incorrect information has been published in the Weslander pertaining to the development applications of the Dwarskersbos petrol station, “Vulstasie vir Dwarskersbos?” (Thursday, 4 August 2022).
The correct information was sent by the Bergrivier Municipality Friday (5 August) and is stated below:. Neither of the land use planning applications still have to be submitted to the Municipal Council. . The decision making authority resides with the Bergrivier Municipal Planning Tribunal (MPT), who already took a resolution about one of the applications and referred back the other one.. Appeals received will be considered by the Appeal Authority (Executive Mayor).. Public participation processes have already been followed for both the land-use planning applications.. Environmental Authorisations for both developments have already been addressed – both are exempted.
