Employees, medics and volunteers of Velddrif Animal Care celebrated man’s best friend at its annual Christmas in July event.
Soverby Lapa was the gracious sponsor of the venue and hostesses dressed up their tables hoping to win first prize. Resident veterinarian Dr Marthinus Jacobs and his wife Anél were tasked to choose the winning table. The auction was well supported to ensure the continuation of services to Velddrif animal lovers.
Velddrif Animal Care is an NGO relying on funds from goods donated to their Charity shop situated in De Villiers Street, Velddrif. Community volunteers run the shop from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 15:00 and Saturday from 09:00 to 13:00. Spaying is done regularly on Animal Clinic Days.
