World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day took place on Tuesday 10 October. A number of homeless people gathered at Vredenburg Park, where they received toiletries, fleecy blankets, sanitary towels, meals and more. Rowan Lamont, managing director of Life Charity Projects, thanked every stakeholder for their involvement on the day and making it special for those who needed it most. “We do hope that the message of ‘it starts with yourself’ will resonate for long and lead them home,” he said.
