Sunchasers Sports Bar and Grill closed its doors on Saturday 1 January. This after being a local favourite for years. Many residents have said they would miss meeting up with friends and family there. Owner Luis Vieira de Sousa said Sunchasers is the place where he met amazing new people, who then became friends and great customers. Management held a private party for close friends and staff on Sunday 2 January to show their appreciation. “The good thing is we will still be able to see one another on the road or at my other establishments. The people of the West Coast are amazing.” Pictured are staffers Gabriel Swanepoel, Marchané Maritz, de Sousa, Johan Nell and Marlee Hough.
