Woman are generally being misrepresented in the professional workplace, yet they are playing an integral part in key positions and functions in the military fraternity.
With this in mind, Brigadier General Mac Matanda and his Command Council saw it befitting to applaud all woman of AFB Langebaanweg during a Valentines brunch hosted at the Warrant Officers Mess at Air Force Base Langebaanweg on 11 February 2022.
In his speech, Matanda said: “woman are playing an important role in the functions of the Base. They add to the successes of the Unit, always visible and seldom remind men of important issues in the workplace.
”Warrant Officer Yolande Venter felt the gesture was so much appreciated by all the woman present. It gave them time to meet and make new friendships. She feels blessed to have an Officer Commanding like Matanda who gives praise and honour to woman.
Sergeant Thulisa Ntsaluba said “everything was spot on”, and added that she felt privileged to have an Officer Commanding who made such an occasion possible.On behalf of all the ladies, Marinda Harmse also thanked Matanda for making this occasion possible and for his kind words.
