Premier joins cycle ride through Velddrif

Cyclist and Premier of the Western Cape Alan Winde took a bike ride through Velddrif on Friday as part of World Bike Day. He was joined by Bergrivier Mayor Ray van Rooy, Faith and Jan Faro, Liz Heydra (Pedal Power) as well as local cyclists of the Piketberg Development Club. Pedal Power Association SA also sponsored five new bicycles for the development riders. The ride was also the start of a local campaign to promote cyclists’ safety on the roads. Photo: Yaël Malgas
