Six members of the Vredenburg Kickboxing Club are currently in Venice, Italy to represent South Africa as part of the national kickboxing team.
Also part of the West Coast Kickboxing Association, they will participate in the WAKO Children, Cadets and Junior Kickboxing World Championships taking place from Friday 30 September to Sunday 9 October.
According to the club it had been a hard road to get to that point, but the students and instructors had worked hard, not only on their training, but also on fundraising efforts.
“We would like to thank everyone who supported our fundraising efforts for our team with their contributions,” the team said.
“A special thank you to the Department of Culture and Sport, who assisted us with training resources and also to Prinro for their donation.”
