Due to an increase in the demand for accommodation of high school learners in the West Coast, New Vredenburg High School was established in 2022.
Unathi Booi, spokesperson for the Western Cape Education Department, said the school started with 160 learners in 2022 and to date the school has 525 learners enrolled.
With 15 teachers leading the youngsters, the school offers General Education and Training subjects and Further Education Training subjects, which include Xhosa and English Home Language, Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy, Business Studies, Tourism, History and Life Orientation.
