Thieves who were caught red-handed in Noordhoek, Laaiplek were found to have other pending criminal cases against them.

According to Captain Tania Helfrich, spokesperson for West Coast police, the Laaiplek police received information on Wednesday 9 February that stolen goods were to be dropped off at a specific address in Noordhoek.

At 12:10, three men, respectively 27, 26 and 24 years old, were caught in the act while unloading an allegedly stolen Phillips television, Peugeot bicycle and drone at the premises.

The men were arrested and will appear in the Laaiplek Magistrates’ Court on 10 February.

The 26-year-old suspect was found guilty of burglary and theft in 2018 and of theft from a motor vehicle in 2015.

The 27-year-old suspect already has two other cases pending, for which he must appear in court, while the 24-year-old has one pending criminal case against him.
