Various stakeholders took hands to host a Girl Dignity Camp for young women in the West Coast. The camp took place at Tabakbaai Holiday Resort between Friday 9 and Sunday 11 June. More than 50 girls attended. The goal of the camp was to empower young women to act as role models, peer councillors and ambassadors in their communities. The girls learned more about humanity, leadership skills, working as a team and so much more. Stakeholders confirmed they also learned about substance abuse, the effects of dropping out of school, teenage pregnancies and more. They believe what they learnt will equip them in the future. Stakeholders included Saldanha Bay Municipality, Government Communication and Information System, Mfesane and the West Coast District Municipality.Photo:
