The joy of fashion bears fruit for Paternoster

The third Paternoster Summer Fashion Experience hosted by Die Koelkamers in Paternoster took place on Saturday 25 November. Jan Malan, owner of Die Koelkamers, said the show was a huge success. An audience of more than 100 attended the show as 40 models strutted their stuff on the catwalk. Showcasing the clothing of two guest designers Johan Botha and Nyambo Masamara as well as three local fashion shops, Ancient Spirit, Sea Love and The Boho Beach Shop, it was a show to remember. Malan said the fashion show is a way of giving something back to the community and to give people a sense of joy and confidence. “It is a way to connect the community, in which they come along and watch their own people modelling,” he said What makes the fashion show even more special is the fact that the models are all locals from Paternoster, in itself something amazing.
