The Western Province Master Athletics Championships took place on Saturday 13 April.
Clive Cupido from Langebaan Strandlopers represented Boland and ran a South African Standard qualification time in the 400 m event in the 55 to 59 age group.
The time required was 59,30 seconds, and Cupido’s achieved a time of 58,79. What also made this amazing was the fact that this was Cupido’s fourth event of the day after walking 5 000 m and running 200 m and 800 m.
