The Welkom Publicity Association will hold a Combat Winter Blanket Campaign at this month’ People’s Market on Saturday at the Welkom Technical High School (HTS) sports grounds.

“We want to encourage the public to open their hearts and to donate blankets which we will disburse to the needy in the community. It is very cold and many of the less fortunate in our community will be helped this way,” says Dulcie Harris, of the Welkom Publicity Associaton.

Since it has moved to its new location at HTS, the market has grown and now has more than 100 stalls that will provide a variety of goods, food and gifts to choose from,” she says.

The food markets have all been moved to the HTS hostel complex.

For bookings send a WhatsApp message to Mel van der Heever on 072-240-8618.

“Come stroll through our market in a controlled, safe environment with plenty free parking,” says Van der Heever.
