In every workplace, leadership should be defined by responsibility, fairness, and accountability – not by intimidation, abuse of authority, or personal vendettas.

Unfortunately, there are environments where some individuals in senior positions misuse their power to silence, victimise, or target employees simply because they hold authority.

A position of leadership is not a weapon to prove a point. It is not a licence to humiliate others, spread hatred, or create fear within a team.

True leaders uplift, guide, and correct with integrity.

They understand that respect is earned through competence, consistency, and ethical conduct – not through threats or emotional manipulation.

It becomes even more concerning when those who misuse their authority are themselves failing dismally in their responsibilities.

Instead of addressing their shortcomings, they shift focus onto employees, creating unnecessary conflict and victimisation to distract from their own failures.

This behaviour damages morale, destroys trust, and weakens the entire working environment.

Employees deserve to work in spaces where fairness, professionalism, and mutual respect are upheld.

Leadership should never be about revenge, ego, or proving superiority. Seniority does not make someone untouchable, and authority should never replace accountability.

Organisations thrive when leaders lead by example, communicate honestly, and treat every employee with dignity.

The strongest leaders are not those who instil fear, but those who inspire confidence, growth, and teamwork.

Let us stop using positions of power to oppress others or settle personal scores. Leadership is a duty to serve, protect, and build – not to intimidate and destroy.
