The dancing dynamo of Sibusiso Christian Pamana (16) and his sister Siphesihle Chyle Pamana (11), are on their way to the South African Open Dance Championships in Cape Town on 13 and 14 December.
The siblings, who hail from the K9 section of Kutlwanong, Odendaalsrus, have already purchased their tickets and face their new adventure with excitement. According to their mother, Ayanda Pamana, accommodation, travel costs, and costumes still need to be taken care of.
During 2025, the pair have won various competitions and established themselves in the dancing world.

Invited to perform in Cape Town
“Now they have been invited to perform in Cape Town, where they aspire to be crowned South African champions,” says their mother.
The championships will take place at the Jakes Gerwel Hall of the University of the Western Cape (UWC).
Sibusiso attends the Impucuko Primary School, where he is in Gr.7, whilst Siphesihle attends the Marobe Primary School, where she is in Gr.5.
They have achieved remarkably
The siblings began dancing classes in 2023 and achieved remarkable success in 2025. Their competition record includes:
■ 27 April: First position at the Freedom Day Championships.
■ 30 September: First position at the Free State Open Dancing Competition in Bloemfontein.
■ 6 and 7 October: Second position at the South African Championships in North West.
■ 6 December: Second position at Rumba in the Jungle.
Their success story demonstrates the talent emerging from smaller communities and highlights the importance of supporting youth in pursuing their artistic aspirations.
