Four learners of Welkom-Gimnasium received top honours for their engineering and environmental sciences projects at the International Science Fair (ISF) in at the Birchwood Conference Centre in Boksburg on 6 October. Judges commented that the accomplishments of these girls were astounding for their age. They competed with ten other countries, and to receive a medal on this level of competition is a big achievement.
