As part of their Nelson Mandela Day celebrations of spending 67 minutes on acts of goodwill, the Boase Public School took to the streets and commemorated the day by ploughing back into the community of Virginia, providing bowls of hearty soup to the needy behind the Checkers and Merriespruit 1 dumping site. The representatives of Boase are Vankile Vuyiswa Charity (educator), Mokoena Nhlanhla (learner), Rampai Bohlokwa (learner), Nchoe Olerato (learner), and Towa Nontutuzelo Joyce (educator)
