Riders of the BRS Equestrian Centre have been chosen to represent the Free State team at the annual South African National Equestrians for Schools Association (Sanesa) national cham-pionships for schools.

There will be 29 riders with 33 horses competing in 141 different classes from 24 to 28 September.

Riders had to compete in three or more provincial qualifiers, to be eligible for the team.

In these qualifiers, the team of BRS gained 250 first places, 94 second places, 40 third places, and 18 fourth places.

During this competition, 33% of the Free State riders, 35% of the Free State horses, and 37% of the Free State classes are from the BRS team. The team is trained by Belinda Basson.
