SUBSTATION vandalism compromises the integrity and reliability of distribution of electricity.
According to a media release from Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, a total of seventeen substation throughout Nelson Mandela Bay metropole have been vandalised in the last two months.
On Monday night the Mosel substation was vandalised, leaving a section of Kariega without electricity until Tuesday.
- The Municipality encourages residents to report criminal activity in the vicinity of substations by calling 041 506 5500.
