MORE community vaccination sites for senior citizens have been made available in Nelson Mandela Bay metropole as well as COVID-19 mobile truck activations.
In Uitenhage the vaccination sites are at the Uitenhage Provincial Hospital as well as Tamboville Community Hall and as of Monday also at the Babs Madlikane Hall, Despatch Town Hall and Uitenhage Town.
Even if not yet registered on the Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS) self registration portal the senior citizens will be assisted. They must please remember to bring their IDs and if on medical aid medical aid cards
Only citizens 60 years and older will be assisted and there will be no vaccinations over weekends or on public holidays at this stage.
For private patients and by appointment only, citizens of 60 years and older can also go for vaccinating to Clicks shops in Walmer Park, Sunridge Park, Kabega Park and Bay West Dischem.
The COVID-19 mobile truck activations for behavioural change and vaccination registration awareness will be available at the Khayamnandi Hall in Despatch today from 08:00 to 11:00 and at the KwaNobuhle shopping mall from 13:00 to 16:00. A valid ID number and cellphone number are needed for registration.
