Daniel Pienaar First cricket team scored an emphatic 508 runs victory against Despatch High School in a cricket fixture at Daniel Pienaar this past weekend.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Daniel Pienaar openers, Hanif Mohamed(captain) and Cameron Williams were in sublime form with an opening wicket partnership of 465 runs.

DP amassed 580/ 5 in their allotted 50 overs. Cameron Williams top scored with 289 runs off 135 balls which included 35 fours and 17 sixes. Captain Hanif Mohamed scored 153 runs off 112 balls which included 21 fours and 2 sixes. In reply, Despatch could manage only 72 runs all out.

Best of DP bowlers were Cameron Williams with 4 wickets for 20 runs, Dante Daries 3 wickets for 8 runs and Sachin Coetzee 3 wickets for 18 runs.
