Miracle Kids Stimulation Centre for Children with Disabilities, which strives to provide stimulation and rehabilitation for children with disabilities until they can be integrated into a mainstream school, was founded in 2008 by Genevieve Hendricks in Gqeberha.

When Hendricks was made aware of the need for another centre, Miracle Kids 2 Stimilation Centre for Children with Disabilities, was established in Despatch last year.

The centre in Gqeberha is manned by six staff members and sees 40 children attend daily, while the one in Despatch has three staff members and 25 children in attendance every day. They are provided with three meals a day.

At this point in time, Miracle Kids 2 Stimilation Centre for Children with Disabilities receives no funding from the Department of Social Development.

The music festival is a fund-raiser for both centres.

The Miracle Kids Music Festival will take place at Innibos Lapa on Saturday, May 20, from 11:00 until late. Entry is R20 for adults and R10 for scholars.

Various local artists will take the stage. There will also be a cash bar, food stalls and much more. Tickets are available from Miracle Kids and at the gate.
