UD Express previously reported that SAPS Kamesh had recently arrested a suspect after an alleged domestic incident between Human and Solomon, which led to the murder of 18-year-old Solomon in Kariega on Sunday, May 25.

The incident happened at Parakiet Street in Rosedale, Kariega. Janse Van Rensburg said, “On arrival, they were informed that the deceased and the suspect were involved in a domestic altercation, and the deceased stabbed the suspect in the shoulder.”

She added, “It is further alleged that the suspect drew his firearm and fired shots at the deceased. The deceased was rushed to hospital but passed away upon arrival.”

The licensed firearm, a 9mm Glock pistol that is believed to have been the murder weapon, was confiscated by SAPS for ballistic testing.
