All areas, all prices, all sizes . . . This is the motto that has been adopted by Pam Golding Properties Port Elizabeth and now by Pam Golding Properties Kariega as well.

Justin Kreusch and Ian Olivier, co-owners of the franchise in Gqeberha, have joined forces with LeRoi Grimbeek as the new owners of the Kariega franchise.

Ian, who has been in the industry since 1989, struck out on his own with Ian Olivier Properties before he took over at Pam Golding Properties Port Elizabeth in 2013. Justin, a veteran in the property industry after 15 years, joined a few years later. And now they have brought in a third partner in Kariega, Leroi.

Welcome to the Kariega franchise

When the opportunity to add the Kariega franchise to the family came knocking, the timing was right and they jumped at it.

“Kariega forms part of the Nelson Mandela Bay – we’re essentially one. The Gqeberha and Kariega franchises can challenge and support one another, and we see a lot of opportunity in the Kariega market,” said Ian.

The Pam Golding Property Group has more than 300 offices in South Africa, growing first under the watchful eye of founder Pam Golding and now her son, Dr Andrew Golding.

And they are not ashamed to say that Pam Golding is an upmarket brand.

But don’t let this scare you off.

“We changed our motto to ‘All areas, all prices, all sizes’ and do our best to keep to it. Just because a person’s home is inexpensive, doesn’t mean that it isn’t upmarket or their castle. And we want people to know, we want your property regardless,” said Ian.

“Because we are an upmarket brand, people seem to think we operate only in certain areas.” Justin added that the luxury advertised is sometimes perceived as an indication that they focus on luxury properties only, but this is not the case.

“The luxury is about the service you get. We want to ensure that whether you live in Mill Park or Motherwell, Walmer or KwaNobuhle, everyone gets the same service,” he added.

“We wouldn’t be in business for as long as we’ve been if our rates weren’t competitive. The focus is on value for money. Don’t use us because we’re the cheapest. Use us because we’re good,” Ian said.

“Property is arguably the biggest investment that most people will ever have. It’s important that you appoint someone that you know, whom you trust, who has good references, to look after it. Pam Golding is a good brand, we are a good team and we pride ourselves on that.”

Looking to grow and get involved

One of their main objectives right now is to grow the Kariega team.

“We’ve got a nice sustainable size team now, but we are on a recruitment drive,” Justin said.

Pam Golding Properties covers all property related matters, but their core focus is on residential properties, specifically sales and rentals.

“We want to provide a top notch service. We are not here to be the biggest, we are here to do the best that we can, and maybe exceed expectations along the way,” Justin said. “We do make sure our people go through a lot of training, keep up to date on legislation and we chase them for service.”

Honesty, integrity, excellence and contribution are the four pillars that Pam Golding Properties Port Elizabeth, and now Pam Golding Properties Kariega, are built on and it’s what they aim to bring to the community.

“Kariega and Despatch are places where we want to be of service to the public. And if there are places or events where we can get involved in the community, we are open to that. We like to get  involved. We like to give back to the community, whether it is our time or money,” Ian said. “The brand is one thing, but the person on the ground is also important and can make a big difference.”
