ALDO Scribante racetrack is gearing up for yet another spectacular race day with an extra dose of V8 thunder and another visiting party on Saturday.

The V8-rich Super Value Foods meeting will see Willie Hepburn coming from Johannesburg for his annual PE sojourn, joined by several V8s from East London and the Western Cape against locals in similarly endowed machinery too.

Racing also include Modified Saloon Car, Historic and Fine Car, Sports & GTs and motorcycle action.

The highlight of the day will be a V8 all comers race between the various so-powered machines competing in the EP Modified and Coastal Challenge races earlier in the day. That race headed by Willie Hepburn’s wild Sabat Opel Rekord that entertains today as brilliantly as it did back in the ‘90s.

There will be practice tomorrow with the racing starting mid-morning following warm-ups and qualifying on Saturday.

The entry fee is R50 per person and U/12s are free, there are full catering and bar facilities on site, so pack that cooler bag, the brolly, deck chairs and kids and head out to Aldo for a great day’s Super Value Foods racing Saturday 17 August.
