DETECTIVES from the Uitenhage police are urgently seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the next of kin of an unidentified person.
On Tuesday, 19 January at 18:00, skeletal remains were found in bushes next to the Amanzi gravel road, close to the R75 towards Uitenhage.
According to police spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart, circumstances of the death are not known and a post mortem will be conducted to determine the race, age, sex, date and possible cause of death.
“The deceased person was clad in grey shorts and black Adidas tracksuit trousers. An inquest docket was opened for investigation,” said Captain Swart.
