SAPS Despatch detectives are seeking community assistance in locating a 57-year-old woman who went missing on Friday, May 9 in Despatch.

According to SAPS spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, it is alleged that on the abovementioned date, Nomakhwezi Ntaka (57) was last seen at her place of work in Boom Street, Despatch.

She added, “She informed the child of her employer that she was going to the bank and never returned.”

Nomakhwezi Ntaka (57) allegedly went missing on May 9.

An investigation was conducted with her family and friends, but she could not be traced.

“At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a white striped black dress and green sandals, carrying a navy sports bag with the Despatch Preparatory School badge on the side,” Janse van Rensburg said.

Police urge anyone who can assist in locating Nomakhwezi Ntaka to contact SAPS Despatch D/Sgt Christine Jonck on 082 949 7154 or Crime Stop 08600 10111 or, alternatively, their nearest police station.

“All information is strictly confidential, and callers may remain anonymous,” Janse van Rensburg concluded.
