SAPS Kariega detectives are seeking the next of kin or anyone who can identify the body of a man found murdered on Monday, June 3 in Kariega.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 15:30, police responded to a complaint on the R334, Daniel Pienaar Road close to Motherwell NU29.
She said that on arrival they found the body of a man with gunshot wounds on the side of the road.
Janse Van Rensburg explained that the deceased unknown man and was dressed in a black jacket written “Germany” at the back in red, a grey long sleeve hemisphere T-shirt, black trousers, multi-coloured socks and black sneakers.
“The deceased also sports a tattoo with a cross over his left hand,” she added.
“The circumstances surrounding his death and the suspect/s are unknown at this stage and a case of murder is under investigation.”
