South African National Parks (SANParks) for the 16th year is once again opening up its parks during South African National Parks Week with free, open access to all South Africans.
The 2021 Annual SA National Parks Week is scheduled for 22 – 28 November. The opening will be officiated by the Minister of the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Barbara Creecy on Sunday, 21 November at Addo Elephant National Park.
The objective of SA National Parks Week is to cultivate a sense of understanding and pride in South Africans of their natural, cultural and historical heritage, which is the basis for the established theme ‘Know Your National Parks’.
