Eight years down the ‘lane, street and way’, RE/MAX Above and Beyond in Kariega celebrated their anniversary not only with a staff complement which has grown exponentially, but also some expansions.

“Our success is due to our team of committed agents offering professional and ethical service of high standards and integrity. This is also our mission statement, and we never forget for whom we work, for you the client,” said real estate expert Les Olivier, one of the owners who established RE/MAX Above and Beyond (Kariega & Despatch).

“This office has grown to a staff complement of 18 people, which is strong, and our statistics show that we sell a property every 4.5 days, which is very good.

“To me it is of utmost importance that if you want to be a successful real estate agent, you eat, sleep, walk and talk property. You need to commit to the profession, be available and accountable and treat every aspect of real estate with a sense of urgency.

“Being an independently owned office feedback is key. Everybody wants to be kept informed, whether you are a buyer, seller, or a tenant.”

RE/MAX Above and Beyond donated an industrial washing machine to VS Home in Kariega. They also treated the residents and staff with eats and treats. Seen here are some of the RE/MAX Above and Beyond team together with staff from VS Home.

The RE/MAX U.D Team is headed by Kevin Shelver and Steyn Marais and with the growing demand for rentals in residential properties, RE/MAX Above and Beyond established RENT/MAX U.D headed by Yvonne Erasmus.

Property24 recently stated that the demand for rentals will continue growing into 2023, particularly in the rent affordability “sweet spot” which ranges between R6 000 and R12 000 per month.

“This growth in demand of rental is thanks in large part to the significant move towards remote working arrangements. It is expected that the demand for residential rental properties will gradually outstrip supply in the coming months and this presents an opportunity for residential property investors and developers.”

Property24 reported that FNB Commercial Property became the first bank in the country to introduce a 15-year term loan which is helping to create new opportunities for growth in participation in the rental property sector.

Antonio Seconds, one of the top real estate agents at RE/MAX Above and Beyond said, “I attribute my success in the local real estate market to the people of Kariega and Despatch. They embrace a brand that is well-known, trustworthy and with which they can associate. A brand that is diverse and welcomes all areas, markets, cultures.”

As part of RE/MAX Above and Beyond’s social corporate responsibility they donated a washing machine to VS Home and treated the residents and staff to eats and treats.
