STOCK car racing fans can look forward to the ninth annual Curt Alchin Memorial Race on Saturday, January 18, at the Victory Raceway.

Alchin was a multiple South African champion in oval racing and other facets. He passed away tragically on 28 January 2012 while competing in a V8 American Saloon race.

Victory Raceway would like to honour his legacy in hosting a memorial race in remembrance of a motor sport legend.

Apart from the V8 American Saloons racing, other classes competing include Junior Hot Rods, Pinkrods, 1660s, 2.1 Modifieds and Heavy Metals.

The gates open at 14:00 and racing starts at 18:00. Victory Raceway is in Victoria Drive, Walmer. There are braai facilities as well as foodstalls available at the raceway.
