The first beach clean-up of the year, organised by the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA) Algoa Bay branch and Zwartkops Conservancy, will be at Wells Estate Beach on Saturday, 25 January from 09:30 to 10:30.
The organisers will supply bags, but please bring your own gloves if possible, water, hats and sunscreen.
; To get there along the N2, take the R335 Addo/Markman off-ramp left. At the stop street, turn right towards the sea. This is St Georges Street. Drive about 700 metres to the first four way stop and turn right. Drive a further 1.1 kilometres.
Turn left into the road which leads to the parking area at the Wells Estate colourful turquoise beach complex buildings.
Park close to the right hand section of the complex where you will be met by WESSA representatives.
