CALBIS Progress rugby team travelled to East London to face Border champions Swallows in the Super 14 final last Saturday.
Swallows have been undefeated for the past five years. Calbis Progress this time was triumphant winning Swallows by 28 points to 24. This resulted in Calbis Progress, for the first time in the history of the club, being crowned champions of the Eastern Cape and Super 14 champions of 2020.
Progress’ tries were scored by centre Riaan Arends (two tries) and Sachin Toring with a penalty and conversion by substitute flyhalf Jeandre Christian.
