One month after the body of a man was found in Perseverance, Despatch, police are still trying to locate his next-of-kin.
On Wednesday, October 13, 2021, a community member found the body of an unknown man in the bushes of Perseverance, Despatch.
According to police spokesperson, Capt. Gerda Swart, the deceased is believed to be between 30 and 40 years old.
“He was clad in a brown t-shirt, navy and red striped boxer shorts and a pair of blue jeans. An inquest was opened and is under investigation,” Swart said.
Anyone who might be looking for a relative, can lead police to his next-of-kin, or identify the deceased, is requested to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Carol Els on 041 933 8000, SAPS Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or SMS Crime Line on 32211. They can also visit the nearest police station.
