Detectives are on the hunt for three males who might be able to shed light on the mysterious murder of a 34-year-old man in KwaNobuhle
yesterday, August 17.

According to police spokesperson, Col. Priscilla Naidu,
during the early hours of yesterday morning, the victim, Sibabalwe Mthengenya and
a 17-year-old were at Mthengenya’s house in Mgolodela Street when they started
arguing about a missing TV.

“Mthengenya accused the teenager of taking a TV from his
house. It is further alleged that Mthengenya phoned his friends to come to
the house. The teenager was beaten and assaulted by the three males. His hands
were bound and he was locked in a room,” Naidu explained.

A man was mysteriously murdered in KwaNobuhle yesterday.

The teenager alleged that he was unconscious and was later
freed when Mthengenya’s family members opened the door. According to family
members, they found Mthengenya’s body on the lounge floor with gunshot and
stab wounds.

“Circumstances surrounding the murder is unknown at this
stage.”

Police are investigating a case of murder and appealing to
anyone who can assist with the investigation, especially the deceased’s three
