DETECTIVES from the South African Police Service in Despatch are urgently seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the next of kin of an unidentified male who was allegedly hit by a taxi on the R75 freeway.
The accident happened on Tuesday, 16 March 2021 at about 05:38, when the unknown pedestrian was allegedly hit by a taxi on the R75 freeway behind Despatch.
The male, who is believed to be about 25 years old passed away on the scene. The deceased person was clad in a blue t-shirt and denim trousers.
He was about 1,75m tall and weighed about 70kg. A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
