As R Model Management & Agency marks its 15th year, the agency’s founder, Raynaldo Bredenkamp, has launched an innovative pageant aimed at driving positive change in local schools. Recognising the limitations of individual efforts, Bredenkamp brought together learners from various schools to identify challenges and develop solutions.

Through monthly meetings, the models-turned representatives brainstormed ideas and initiatives to address the challenges faced by their schools. The event culminated in a collection drive at Agape Coffee Shop, where non-perishable cans and “shoe boxes of hope” were gathered. The Zachary Bredenkamp Foundation and Act of Annie Foundation also contributed significantly, particularly in the aftermath of the recent floods in Kariega.

This pageant has united learners from diverse backgrounds, encouraging a shared commitment to community service and school development.

Bredenkamp expressed his delight in the initiative, “It took me just over five months to recruit, plan, and put this entire event together. My personal favourite moment of this entire event is being a part of a life changing experience for so many young people. This is just the start of greater things for our schools,” he said.

The search for the 2025 pageant finalists will begin between July and October 2024.
