With the theme of Tapping into the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), kids will be able to participate online in virtual tours, crossword puzzles, connect the dots puzzles as well as to link to the STEM learning app (Play Store).

According to Zingisa Gono, candidate natural scientist and education and programmes coordinator at the Nelson Mandela Bay Science and Technology Centre, “it is important for learners to be introduced to 4IR technologies, to keep up with the world’s future needs.

“The 4IR is a tech-driven era where robotics, automation and big data analytics are transforming how we live and work.

“Children will get an opportunity to experience virtual reality and to explore planets, watch STEM virtual tours and learn about robotics,” said Gono.

To enable participation in the online programme the content will be uploaded on the Science Centre’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/NMBScitechCentre and on its website www.nmbstc.co.za/ daily. Also check out these pages for the announcement of changes.
