Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality ward committees are regarded as municipal structures ensuring communities could participate, express their views, and experience a sense of ownership of their respective wards.

These ward committees also have the power to advise and assist ward councillors. The relationship between ward committees and the ward councillor should be harmonious and subsequently, they should also strengthen trust between them. Members of ward committees are from all spheres of life and should not necessarily belong to any political party.

Apart from contacting the ward councillor’s office and call centres, residents are encouraged to make use of the ward committee members if they need to engage regarding service delivery issues.

Please note that it is imperative to report complaints to the call centre to obtain reference numbers which is compulsory to enable complaints to be attended to.
