Two people were lucky to make it out alive after the truck that they were travelling in collided with a train in Addo yesterday afternoon, January 25.
According to police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, at approximately 15:00, a truck collided with a train at a railway crossing in Valencia, Addo.
“The truck driver and passenger sustained injuries and were rushed to the nearest hospital,” he said.
A case of reckless and negligent driving has been opened for further investigation.
