Load reduction to be implemented in Kariega this week

Nelson Mandela Bay Metro wishes to inform residents in Kariega that it will take approximately two weeks to repair a cable fault affecting the area.

“In order to reduce pressure and ensure that residents do not experience prolonged power outages, we will execute load reduction in the affected areas for two hours at a time,” the Municipality said in a statement. 

The areas have been divided into three groups and a schedule as indicated below has been devised:

LOAD REDUCTION GROUPS

Group 1:

Matebese; MRM6 / Mqolomba; Dlala; Makuleni; Dabaza & Feeder 1

Group 2:

Mbengashe; Billie; Majola; Sineli; Sandunana; Ntsela; MRM10; 4th Avenue; Sarile &  Feeder 3

Group 3:

3rd Avenue; Mqongci; Phuphu; Tyhume; Majola; Jonas & Feeder 6

Tuesday, 26 July

17:00 – 19:30: Group 3

19:00 – 21:30: Group 1

Wednesday, 27 July

17:00 – 19:30: Group 2

19:00 – 21:30: Group 3

Thursday, 28 July

17:00 – 19:30:  Group 1

19:00 – 21:30 Group 2

Friday, 29 July

17:00 – 19:30: Group 3

19:00 – 21:30: Group 1

UD Express has requested the areas (which make up the different groups) from the Municipality. As soon as it has been received, it will be added to the story.
