25-year-old man found dead in KwaNobuhle. Police seek help tracing suspect(s).

KARIEGA – A murder occurred yesterday, Tuesday, 7 April 2026 at approximately 15:30 in Makotshomela Street, KwaNobuhle, prompting the South African Police Service (SAPS) in KwaNobuhle to launch an investigation into the incident.

According to SAPS spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, it is alleged that SAPS members responded to a complaint received from Radio Control regarding a body lying in the street.

“Upon arrival at the scene, members discovered the body of a 25-year-old man lying in front of a residence in Makotshomela Street,” she said. “The victim had sustained a gunshot wound and was declared dead at the scene.”

Janse Van Rensburg added that the motive and the suspect(s) are currently unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist in the investigation to contact the SAPS KwaNobuhle on 079 496 5112 or the nearest police station or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

“All information will be treated with strict confidentiality,” she concluded.
