MEMBERS of Best Karate Club in Kariega excelled on various platforms, with one of the highlights being the attendance of the week-long World Team Tour, which was held in East London where they participated in a gruelling outdoor and indoor training ending with an All-Styles Tournament.
At this tournament, the following members received their Protea Karate Colours (Green and Gold): Sensei Bertram Douglas, Sensei Dane Douglas, Sensei Wade Coertze, Sensei Kelitha Coertze, Ethan Bester whilst Winston Pienaar received his Presidential Colours.
Another highlight was that of four members who have graded. They are Sensei Bertram Douglas who graded to Sandon (3rd Dan), Dane Douglas to Shodan (1Dan), Wade Coertze to Shodan (1Dan), Kelitha Coertze to Shodan (1 Dan).
The following students participated in an All Styles Tournament and collectively brought home six medals. They are Sensei Dane Douglas, Sensei Wade Coertze, Sensei Kelitha Coertze, Ethan Bester and Winston Pienaar.
