A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of his 46-year-old girlfriend following an argument in Kareedouw last night.
According to police spokesperson Sergeant Majola Nkohli, it is alleged that the man and the deceased were involved in an argument at a house in Mountainview, when he subsequently became angry and stabbed her once in the upper body.
“The victim, Annie Fairley was declared dead at the scene.”
“The suspect is expected to appear in the Kareedouw Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, March 1 on charges of murder,” Nkohli said.
